These dried flakes are an easy way to add cozy, toasted garlic flavor to anything—without having to peel and dice up cloves. (Early adopters include King Tut, who was entombed with a few cloves.) Alternatively, you can use these flakes to layer flavor into dishes that already have a heavy fresh allium presence, like garlic bread or salsa. They also make a great stand-in garnish for fried shallots when sprinkled on top of a cold noodle salad, or an easy way to make garlic cream cheese in a snap.
